Dean of Communications manages administrative functions of the college of communications. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Communications leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Communications requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Communications manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Communications typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     We are seeking an Underground Construction Laborer to join our team in our Missoula, Montana office. In this role, you will be assisting the crews in the infrastructure construction of the telecommunications new build.

    The Role

    • Install and maintain aerial and underground telecommunications cabling
    • Assist in all phases of underground construction including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various types, sizes, and weight of construction materials and equipment
    • Manage the use and care of all maintenance equipment including power equipment, trucks, hand tools, and ladders
    • Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery
    • Maintain safe working habits and work conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and company policies
    • Follows safety standards throughout processes

    Requirements

    • 1 year(s) of underground and/or aerial construction experience preferred
    • Valid driver’s license, CDL a plus
    • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
    • Ability to operate various types of utility vehicles and equipment
    • High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption
    • Continuous support of the mission, vision, ethics and values of TAK Communications
    • Ability to work outside of business hours when needed; overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons
    • Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud
    • Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds), ability to climb poles or other structures as needed
    • Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time, year round
    • Ability to occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, electricity and/or powerlines, risk of exposure to electrical shock, radiation, vibration
    • Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools
