Dean of Dentistry manages administrative functions of the college of dentistry. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Dentistry leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Dentistry requires an advanced degree of dentistry. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Dentistry manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Dentistry typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. As a Practice Front Office Admin Team Member, you will be responsible for performing a variety of patient engaging, front office duties. This position requires one to communicate professionally and effectively with patients and co-workers. It also requires excellent time management and organizational skills. The purpose of this role is to engage with patients, answer the practice phone, schedule patients, discuss treatment plans and finance options, verify patient benefits, and accurately collect payments.
Hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday, every other Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and check-in patients promptly and professionally
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the office's calendar
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient records
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized front office area
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Willingness to work collaboratively with dental staff and support team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs
- Previous experience with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software is a plus
