Dean of Engineering jobs in Queens Village, NY
Dean of Engineering manages administrative functions of the college of engineering. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Engineering leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Engineering requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Engineering manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Engineering typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Energy Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in eQuest modeling and a strong understanding of NYC Energy Code and ASHRAE standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed energy models using eQuest.
- Create ASHRAE baseline models for various projects.
- Ensure compliance with NYC Energy Code and ASHRAE standards.
- Perform energy modeling for code compliance and ultra-low energy buildings.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize energy performance.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in eQuest energy modeling software.
- In-depth knowledge of NYC Energy Code and ASHRAE standards.
- Proven experience creating ASHRAE baseline models.
- Demonstrated ability to perform energy modeling for compliance and advanced energy-efficient designs.
- Experience with ultra-low energy building modeling is highly preferred.
- Must be a resident of one of NYC's five boroughs.
