Dean of Fine Arts manages administrative functions of the college of fine arts. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Fine Arts leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Fine Arts requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Fine Arts manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching dance classes to students of various ages and skill levels. Your role will involve creating engaging lesson plans, providing instruction in different dance styles, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the needs of each student
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines in various styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, etc.
- Provide individualized attention and guidance to students to help them improve their skills
- Demonstrate proper dance techniques and movements for students to follow
- Organize and coordinate dance recitals, performances, or showcases
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to plan and execute dance programs or events
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and expertise in various dance styles
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and provide feedback
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with students of all ages
- Creativity in choreographing routines and developing engaging lesson plans
- Strong organizational skills to manage class schedules, performances, or events
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Dance Instructor or similar role is preferred
- Certification in dance education or relevant field is a plus
- Proficiency in multiple dance styles is highly desirable
