Dean of Mathematics manages administrative functions of the college of mathematics. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Mathematics leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Mathematics requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Mathematics manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Mathematics typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary/Basic Function
    The Department of Mathematics would like to periodically hire adjunct faculty who have a strong commitment to a high-quality undergraduate education.

    A typical teaching load will be one or two classes a semester, as needed.

    **This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelors in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or equivalent.

    Preferred Qualifications
    The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, the ability to produce scholarly work, and a willingness to perform academic service.
