Project Connection is a nonprofit mental health clinic dedicated to providing trauma-informed care to children, families and adults in Salt Lake County. We are seeking a full-time Revenue Specialist to join our Finance Team.

The Revenue Cycle Specialist performs a variety of routine collection, accounting, and administrative tasks in support of the Revenue Cycle function. The Specialist works under close supervision and follows established internal controls and procedures for all collection transactions and ensures a high level of customer service.

Essential Functions

• Create and send monthly client invoices
• Receive and post payments from clients and payers
• Process client credit cards
• Identify and post unposted payments
• Enter paper Explanation of Benefits into the Electronic Health Record
• Perform client account audits to ensure accuracy of charges, fees, and payments
• Monitor and complete daily fax requests
• Sort and distribute incoming mail
• Monitor and respond to requests on Revenue Cycle communication channels
• Meet established goals

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Skills and Experience

• Analytical with strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel/Word/Outlook)
• Results driven and proactive; strong desire to own and execute area of responsibility with excellence
• Adaptability/flexibility to change as company requires

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a billing office
• Knowledge of insurance billing terminology

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
