Assists the corporate controller in directing the organization's accounting functions including cost, payables, and reporting. Being a DEPUTY CONTROLLER ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization. Oversees the preparation of periodic reporting and required legal filings. In addition, DEPUTY CONTROLLER may train accounting staff. May coordinate with auditors. Requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or finance. Typically reports to the controller. The DEPUTY CONTROLLER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Job Summary
Hi-Tech Electronic Products is looking for a detail-oriented Controller to perform and coordinate accounting duties to continue growing our company. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
To be successful as Controller, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding Controller should also possess strong Excel skills, be highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.
