Full Job Description

Job Summary

Hi-Tech Electronic Products is looking for a detail-oriented Controller to perform and coordinate accounting duties to continue growing our company. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

To be successful as Controller, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding Controller should also possess strong Excel skills, be highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet, P&L, and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual Tax preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Emphasis on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis and ability to apply financial theory and practices and provide analysis of accounts.
• Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required. CPA preferred.
• 3 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel/Sheets, Outlook, and Word.
• Expert knowledge of QuickBooks is mandatory.
