Design Director directs and oversees CAE technical and team capability to support product, component, or structure design. Provides expertise and technical leadershipfor benchmarking, concept design, prototype development, simulation, testing protocols, and optimization utilizing CAE design and analysis techniques and tools. *Directs the workflow of the project on site in accordance with the project schedule and Prism Design and Construction LLC’s safety and quality standards.
*Provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients.
*Oversight of all day-to-day site operations, including scheduling, coordination, and delegation of subcontractor work.
*Monitor and maintain quality control on the job site
*Assist preconstruction and the project team in development of an initial project master schedule and ensures the proper methods and sequence of installation are followed
*Coordinate with all parties involved with project including contractor, subs, and other team members to meet the project objectives and resolve issues

*Provide material take-offs and procurement in materials
*Work directly with vendors and supplier for material procurement.
*Ability to read and understand blueprints
*Ensure final inspections and tests are done in a timely manner
*Create 4 week look-ahead schedule that coincides with the master schedule which provides details of the project in logical steps while ensuring that subs, permits and equipment requirements are in place to meet deadlines, track critical dates of all activities affecting the project completion, document delays, and communication updates.
*Walk project site daily to review conditions/progress, evaluating for site safety and then documenting the day-to-day job activities.
*Review, understand, and manage procedures for handling changes to the contract documents, change orders, substitutions, etc.
*Participates in processes and discussions with management, owners, subs and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, com plaints and construction problems
*Generate pre-punch and punch-lists, determine subcontractor for each item and follow up with subcontractors to ensure timely completion
* Promote a positive work site environment that encourages collaboration among various subcontractors
* Completes documentation according to the expectations of Prism Design and Construction, LLC

5 years in the building industry with “bags on” construction experience
Superintendent of 5 years
Calm, level- headed and polite personality

Flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing world of technology, design, means and methods

OSHA 30 Certification preferred or willing to obtain
