Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Details

The following tasks will be performed by the Design Engineer:

• Perform civil design calculations and prepare construction plans, exhibits, reports and other documents.
• Use AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and other design software to plan and design projects to be in line with industry and government standards.
• Attend design meetings and interact with other consultants, reviewing agencies and Clients.
• Meet with Team Leads and/or Project Managers to review project development and assess any issues.
• Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
• Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning the stages of, and risk analysis for a project.
• Compile and submit permit applications to local and state agencies, verifying that projects comply with various regulations, as well as company design standards.
• Provide construction cost estimates.
• Use of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Requirements:

• Civil Design Engineer with preferably 1-3 years civil engineering professional design experience (entry-level engineers will also be considered)
• Experience in AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and other design software
• An E.I.T. and/or P.E. certification preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field
