The Properties Designer oversees property design for theatrical application in the Department of Theatre and Film. Duties include designing, constructing, and acquiring properties for department productions. Duties also include managing student workers, making materials and supplies purchases, staying current with industry trends and techniques, and coordinating property needs for the department. This individual oversees the hiring, training, and scheduling of student workers who staff the props shop and will have authority to make discretionary purchases.
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
Education:
Bachelor Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
AND
Experience:
One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.
