Floral Designer and Flower Farmer

Little Saint Farm (LSF) is seeking an experienced florist to fill an in-house position for Little Saint (LS), a plant-based restaurant and event space in Healdsburg, California. The primary responsibilities are arranging and maintaining floral installations in the restaurant, arranging and maintaining retail floral arrangements and displays, maintaining living indoor and outdoor plants at the restaurant, and leading floral design for public and private events. As an employee of Little Saint Farm, additional time will be spent aiding the farm team in the growing and harvesting of flowers for Little Saint and other clients.

About Us:

Little Saint Farm is an 8 acre farm on Westside Road, just a few miles from downtown Healdsburg and Little Saint. The farm grows about an acre of cut flowers, and about three acres of fresh produce. Most of the farm’s product is delivered to its namesake restaurant, Little Saint, for use in their farm-to-table plant-based dining program. There is a close relationship and direct collaboration between the farm and Little Saint. Little Saint Farm was founded in 2020, and Little Saint opened in April 2022.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Work with our Floral Director to plan bi-weekly floral installations from farm-grown flowers and other sources
• Assemble and maintain decor arrangements and displays for Little Saint
• Assemble hand-tied bouquets for in-house retail and pop-up farm stands
• Keep retail displays stocked and fresh
• Maintain indoor and outdoor plants at Little Saint
• Help with all floral farm tasks

Hours and Days:

• Full Time (40 hours and 5 days per week), Monday through Friday in the winter, and Tuesday through Saturday in the spring, summer, fall.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrable Floral Design experience, minimum 3 years
• Ability to work weekends
• Farming experience preferable but not required
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent time management
• Knowledge of indoor plant care
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs all day long
• Ability to thrive in a queer-friendly work environment
• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record

Compensation:

• $24 hourly, DOE
