As a Project Associate Product Development with Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW), you will support licensees within a designated region serving as a liaison between design teams and artists.
In this role you will report to the Manager- Product Development
This is a Full-Time role.
Every single day in the Project Associate role is different! On any one day, you might:
Provide product development support to various global licensees across book, magazine, and digital licensees
Route product and marketing submissions in Online Product Approvals (OPA), synthesizing feedback from creative teams so that licensees have a clear understanding of the changes they need to make in order for their products to be approved
Build relationships with internal Disney Publishing Worldwide creative teams in various countries to stay educated about Art, Editorial, and Design guidelines for all franchises, including Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar and Nat Geo
Provide support to licensees with day-to-day inquiries related to systems, creative/assets and process/schedule. Work with the Commercialization team as well as the Creative Operations manager to address concerns/issues that arise
Communicate guidelines to licensees through daily email exchanges and occasional meetings that include members of those same creative teams when extra guidance is needed by a licensee
Establish relationships with licensees to better understand each market and business situation and to better attend to the needs of each licensee
Act as liaison between creative teams and licensees, learning how to balance (and to occasionally arbitrate) differences between the creative guidelines of Art, Editorial, and Design teams and licensee business limitations
Secure reference/assets from various content providers around the company for use in products
Manage administrative tasks that serve Creative Operations as well as external partners
3 years of experience in a project management role
2 years of experience working with creative teams
High level of organization skills, ability to prioritize many complex and detailed projects at once
Relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines
Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
Problem solver with a “can do” attitude
Negotiation experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
