Desktop Publishing Operator utilizes desktop publishing tools, equipment, and software packages to create and produce a variety of high quality communication materials that incorporate text and graphic images. Designs page layouts, charts, graphs, and computer graphics. Being a Desktop Publishing Operator selects, imports, and edits graphic images used to enhance the impact of the materials. May require an associate degree. Additionally, Desktop Publishing Operator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Desktop Publishing Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2 years of Technician experience and/or related experience or training
• Ability to perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Experience with file and print sharing, including security and user permissions management
• Knowledge of network storage design (SAN/NAS), implementation and optimization
• Experience managing Microsoft products e.g.: Outlook, Exchange, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience with MS Desktop/Server Operating Systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Two or more years’ experience with troubleshooting computers and networks preferred
Preferred knowledge areas:
• Experience managing Apple Operating Systems
• Experience with McAfee Anti-Virus and Encryption technologies
• Experience working in, and providing operational documentation
• Creating and managing local backup solution(s)
• Knowledge of scripting for Windows deployments
