Hourly Rate: $29.56 (Step 1/ Year 1) - $33.27 (Step 5/Year 5)
SUMMARY: The Desktop Support Specialist is primarily responsible for the support of desktop computers, general technology and helpdesk-related activities at ESD 123 and supported program sites within the Walla Walla region.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work duties shall be performed both in an office environment as well as requiring travel to and providing support for staff and students in the school districts within the ESD 123 region, ESD 123 program sites, external workshops and conferences. Sitting for extended periods of time may be required. Lifts and carries a maximum of 75 pounds. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment; however, travel is required to local school districts and program sites, and for workshops, committee representation and conferences at local, regional, and state level. Sitting for extended periods of time may be required. Lifts and carries a maximum of 35 pounds. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:
Applicant selected for hire will be required to be fingerprinted for a Washington State Patrol and FBI criminal history and background inquiry check. Employees of ESD 123 must abide by all of the agencies policies, including maintaining a smoke and tobacco-free work environment and a drug-free and scent-free workplace.
