Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit Agency based in Altamont, NY that operates programs in 17 counties in NYS. We are seeking a service-oriented and self-motivated professional to join our IT support team as a Desktop Support Specialist. This position will provide an opportunity to work directly under and learn from an engineer with 20 years of experience. You will be tasked with solving technical issues and will also collaborate with team members across all departments to assist them with their technical requirements.
Hours and Benefits:
· 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday

Salary:
· $45,000 to $55,000 Annually
Requirements for the Desktop Support Specialist:
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, preferred.
· 1 years of experience in a technical support role.
· Out of town travel required throughout RSS service areas within NYS
· Knowledge/Experience with Office 365 Administrative Portals a plus
· Certifications are preferred, but not required.
· Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
· Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
· Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
· Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
· Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize multiple projects at one time.
Responsibilities for the Desktop Support Specialist include:
· User account management. Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems through Office 365 Administrative Portals and Active Directory.
· Install and configure software and computer systems onsite as well as utilizing remote access management tools.
· Maintain and update the organization’s IT Inventory.
· Maintain a work log of job ticket and maintenance tasks.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues with employee’s software or hardware.
· Walk colleagues through steps to help them resolve their technical problems.
· Assist the Director of Information Technology with Testing, evaluating, and making decisions about new technology for the Organization.
· Participate in business-wide meetings to provide insight into technical requirements.
