The Recovery Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction and mental health challenges. Duties

• Implement motivational interviewing strategies to encourage positive behavior change and enhance client engagement.
• Mentor clients by sharing personal experiences and providing guidance throughout their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with social workers, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any incidents that arise during sessions.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3 years experience in an equivalent field.
• Proven experience in addiction counseling, crisis management, or mental health counseling is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health systems and resources available for individuals seeking recovery support.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach.
• Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and mentoring practices.
• Certification or licensure in relevant fields (e.g., Certified Addiction Counselor) is a plus.
