Myriad Fiber Imaging is a leading manufacturer of medical Devices & Fiber Optic Solutions. Myriad is seeking an experienced Technician for its Manufacturing facility in Dudley, MA.

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

This person will perform specialized assembly of fiber optic/electronic components and assemblies related to the medical & industrial fields. A technician must conduct optical and mechanical tests on fiber optic components and assemblies, and will work from specifications, technical manuals, schematics and written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities:

- Assembly and rework of electronic components using soldering irons

- Assembly of cables and wires with soldered connectors

- Fiberoptic grinding & polishing

- Organize & maintain updated inventory

- Cutting and optically lensing fibers

Essential Skills and Experience required for the job:

Read, interpret, and follow drawings, specification, work instruction and test procedures. Experience with assembly and troubleshooting of precision mechanical components. Solid experience in soldering.

• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Ability to work under a microscope assembling tedious parts
• Ability to define problems/ collect data/ and draw conclusions
• Hands on experience with test and measurement equipment
• Ability to read drawings, sketches
• Good interpersonal and strong communications skills
• Must be capable of prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects
