Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Dietitian to join our staff to care for patients in the Diabetes Education center.

CMH dietitians provide various services to help patients improve their nutritional intake. They tailor services to each person's needs.

A typical day will include: the Diabetic Educator is responsible for providing education to appropriately referred outpatients, in-patients, home care patients; assists in continuous quality improvement activities, outcomes tracking, in-service for department and the CMH system, provides community education as indicated; maintains all required documentation; assists with the development and implementation of program operation and materials; upholds high standards of care as outlined in the Healthcare system mission statement and departmental policies and procedures; sets an example to staff and other employees by professional attitude and behavior, performs other duties as required. Some night and weekend time may be required; behaves in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of CMH and performs other duties requested.

The position is: Full Time days 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Dietetics and Completion of a dietetic internship; or coordinated undergraduate program; or Registered Nurse
• Licensure & Certifications: Registration from Commission of Dietetic Registration; Licensed Dietitian in the state of Missouri; or Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Missouri; Certified Diabetes and Education Care Specialist or must obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in diabetes self-management education OR Endocrinology clinic
