PURPOSE:
The Digital Ad Specialist is responsible for the organization’s full cycle support of current and future onsite digital campaigns. This includes working closely with external digital partners and Retail Marketing efforts, supporting the Retail Media Sales Partner and Retail Media CPG Sales Managers. This position will ensure all required assets from advertisers are in place in a timely manner to execute their omnichannel media campaigns without delay, this may include operational tasks such as: agreements, creative, media briefs, invoices, etc. are completed on time.
This role works directly with Corporate Merchandising to ensure all corporate Shopper Marketing events are executed as omnichannel events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and Coordinate Digital Campaigns
- Executes digital campaigns in a timely manner which requires obtaining necessary creative assets from CPG, providing feedback and creative approval, and sharing out assets with external digital partners
- Coordinates all digital campaign needed activities such as agreements, creative, media, briefs, and invoices necessary to meet deadlines
Maintain Digital Material and Reporting
- Prepare and assemble regular digital reporting including monthly recaps of digital activities for internal teams and customers, POP (Proof of Performance) for all digital campaigns, represent digital on monthly Merch calls
- Operationally ensure that all digital campaign paperwork (agreements, ecomm uploads, digital coupon forms, loyalty briefs) get to the appropriate stakeholder and are completed in a timely manner to not put any campaigns in jeopardy
- Works closely with internal partners and cross functional teams to meet execution deadlines, prepare reports, and collect relevant data
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or Communication a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required that can include marketing, sales
- 3 years of experience must be related to marketing and/or sales
- Experience in a matrixed environment
- Experience in performing day-to-day operational activities such as maintaining information, processing invoices, compiling and coordinating briefs and approval processes in a timely manner
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Digital Literacy: Familiarity with digital advertising platforms, social media, and online marketing tools and an understanding of how digital media operates in retail environments
- Attention to Detail: Critical for preparing sales presentations, analyzing campaign performance metrics, and ensuring accuracy in client communications
- Eagerness to Learn: Crucial for candidate to demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in retail media
- Strong Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, team members, and other stakeholders in the retail media industry
- Analytical Skills: Needed to interpret data, analyzing market trends, and understanding consumer behavior, which are crucial aspects of retail media
