Job Overview
With the objective of supporting REELZ programming and brand, the Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of REELZ websites, email marketing, YouTube curation and upkeep and asset management.
Job Responsibilities
- Plans and executes updates for REELZ.com and related websites
- Plans and executes new REELZ.com site features while keeping REELZ up to date with best
practices around SEO and mobile optimization.
- Project manages the planning, testing, and launch of feature updates to REELZ sites in
coordination with site developers.
- Efficiently troubleshoots site issues and outages alongside site developers and vendors.
- Plans and creates page experiences for special events.
- Plans and coordinates graphic artist assignments for REELZ sites and social platforms.
- Supports social media with regular posts and contesting.
- Responsible for creating marketing newsletters in our email marketing platform (Klaviyo) plus
list and subscription management.
- Supports surveys within our email subscriptions using Survey Monkey or similar survey
service.
- Helps support web pages for REELZ PR and REELZ Affiliates, including site updates on a
regular basis.
- Works with Director of Social Media Digital to maintain and curate REELZ YouTube channel.
- Works with outside vendor to monitor and identify pirated assets on torrent sites and YouTube.
- Reports to work on time and works established schedule/hours. Ability to work other hours or
alternate schedules as needed.
- Performs other reasonable and relevant activities and functions as requested and required. As
a 24/7 entertainment network and website, we may occasionally request assistance on
evenings/weekends in support of special events/activities.
Qualifications
- Education: BA, BS in Marketing, Multimedia, Communications, Web Development, or
equivalent
- Experience: 2 years experience with website operations and maintenance
- Skills:
- Experience with WordPress and WordPress plugins
- Experience building responsive landing pages that work across browsers, operating
systems, and devices using page-builders like Guttenberg, Visual Composer, or Beaver
Builder
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Basic knowledge of web front-end best practices for user experience and user interface.
- Basic understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
- Knowledge of web video formats and codecs
- Ability to proactively identify technical issues, communicate them to developers, and
follow through with a resolution.
- Efficient content update and data maintenance skills
- Experience evaluating tasks to estimate required effort for completion.
- Ability to balance multiple projects at the same time
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Experience with YouTube publishing and curation
- Experience with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo, MailChimp, or Constant
Contact, including list management and automated workflows.
Bonus Skills
Basic understanding of Google's Marketing Platform (Ad trafficking, AdWords, etc.
