The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a motivated, action-oriented Autonomous Control Systems Design Engineer to support research and development program involving development of autonomous systems to support Department of Defense (DoD) operations. This engineer will be working in a multi-disciplinary team environment responsible for design, fabrication, and testing electromechanical systems. This includes designing components and control circuits, developing software code, prototyping, and testing systems. Experience integrating components onto platforms with small size, weight, and power (SWaP) requirements is highly desired.
Work hours are mission dependent. A flexible schedule will be critical to support fast moving tasks and projects.
