Job Summary: Mendez Media Marketing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Digital Media Buyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, pacing, executing and reporting digital media campaigns across various platforms, with a strong focus on the automotive industry. This role requires a strong understanding of digital advertising, data-driven decision-making, and a passion and understanding for the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:
· Media Planning & Buying: Develop and execute digital media strategies and budget recommendations tailored to automotive clients, ensuring maximum ROI. This includes managing SEM campaigns, programmatic ad buys, display, video, eblast, and social media ads while leveraging client first party and 3rd party data.
· Campaign Management: Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance across multiple digital platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and automotive-specific ad networks.
· Budget Management: Oversee media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of funds to maximize campaign effectiveness while staying within client budgets.
· Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and consumer behavior patterns within the automotive industry.
· Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand campaign objectives, provide insights, and recommend strategies that align with client goals.
· Performance Reporting: Generate client ready detailed reports and recommendations based on campaign performance, including key metrics that blend digital media results, G4 data, along with client CRM data and performance reporting to provide a comprehensive strategy in real time each week.
· Vendor Relationships: Negotiate with digital media vendors and platforms to secure the best rates and placements for our clients.
· Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools, and technologies in digital media buying, particularly within the automotive sector.
Qualifications:
· Education: Degree in Marketing or related field strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a senior level digital media buying role, with a strong focus on the automotive industry.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and programmatic buying tools. Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics is required.
· Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance.
· Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of negotiating media buys and securing favorable rates.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively. Must be willing to meet with clients via virtual meetings and in-person.
· Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Automotive Knowledge: A passion for the automotive industry and a deep understanding of its unique marketing challenges and opportunities. Experience with an automotive specific agency, digital media company or tool a strong plus.
· Travel: Some travel may be required.
