Salary range: 40,000-50,000 a year.  

Responsibilities:

The Director of Community Support Services is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Community Support Services Program.  

Duties:

1. Maintain overall responsibility for the Community Support Services (CSS) program.
2. Write grants, operational standards, and training manuals as necessary for the implementation and ongoing operation of the CSS program.
3. Implement and monitor the provision of services in accordance with the Communicare policy and procedure manual.
4. Interview and hire job applicants and train new employees.
5. Provide programmatic supervision of Community Support Specialists in all six counties.
6. Complete performance appraisals and provide corrective actions, including disciplinary reports as needed.
7. Monitor staff caseloads and staff productivity, taking action where needed to ensure standards are met.
8. Represent Communicare at Department of Mental Health (DMH) meetings, trainings, and other meetings as needed including community activities such as health fairs and other public education events.
9. Successfully complete mandatory trainings such as CPI and Pre-evaluation Screening Certification as required by Communicare.
10. Ensure that all relevant DMH Operational Standards and Division of Medicaid rules and regulations are being met within the Community Support Services program.
11. Facilitate and participate in Communicare treatment team meetings.
12. Provide ongoing education to Community Support Staff on Medicaid, the Department of Mental Health regulations and operational Standards, and other subjects as needed.
13. Collect statistical data regarding Community Support Services as required by Communicare and the State Department of Mental Health.  
14. Maintain, monitor, and adjust up-to-date list of individuals receiving community support services. Maintain caseload lists for all CSS staff.
15. Provide in-home and in-office clinical services for individuals as needed, maintaining clinical documentation in the electronic health record system. 
16. Works in direct collaboration with all members of the team, including outside agencies, therapists, medical staff, etc., to address mental health needs of individuals served.
17. Provide supervision to bachelor’s and master’s level interns.
18. Coordinate the completion and collection/analysis of satisfaction surveys with individuals.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field. Independent license preferred. 
2. Valid driver’s license, access to personal automobile/transportation, liability insurance, and insurable driving record. 
3. Acceptable criminal background check.
4. Ability to work toward overall agency goals.
5. Ability to relate to individuals with severe mental illness, substance abuse, and intellectual disabilities. 
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
