Director of Total Quality Deployment jobs in North Carolina

Director of Total Quality Deployment deploys total quality operational excellence policies and programs within an organization. Develops master plans, timelines, and budget allocation for implementation. Being a Director of Total Quality Deployment forms and guides cross functional teams. Ensures programs educate and motivate employees to achieve a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, Director of Total Quality Deployment utilizes Six Sigma/Lean methodologies and typically is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or similar area. Typically reports to senior management. The Director of Total Quality Deployment manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Director of Total Quality Deployment typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Pay Range: $118,000 to  $160,000/year

    Position Summary

    The Total Rewards Director is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, administering and evaluating a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy and programs for the County including compensation, health and welfare plans, retirement plans, life insurance, time off, wellness programs, and reward and recognition programs which attract, motivate and retain employees.

    Essential Functions
    Plan, design, implement and administer a comprehensive Total Rewards program aligned with the County’s philosophy, objectives and budget guidelines
    Provide strategic and tactical oversight of the Total Rewards Department
    Ensure all rewards programs are market competitive, equitable, cost effective and used effectively to attract, motivate and retain employees
    Perform ongoing evaluation of the total rewards programs, assessing the effectiveness of existing policies, guidelines, procedures, cost effectiveness
    Recommend program revisions and new programs which are cost effective and in line with market trends, best practices and County objectives. Lead the development and implementation of program revisions and new programs
    Develop comprehensive communication strategies, activities and training materials
    Determine and implement metrics to assess and monitor the effectiveness of ongoing total rewards programs and new initiatives
    Gather stakeholder feedback and input for new initiatives; partner with Budget, Finance and other HR Centers of Excellence on cross functional teams to execute plans and forecast costs and impact of new initiatives
    Provide expertise and guidance to other HR team members, departments and external agencies regarding all total rewards programs

    Minimum Qualifications
    Experience: 

    Minimum of seven years of professional-level experience in Human Resources including Compensation; including two years of supervisory experience

    Education: 
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, Finance or a related field.

    Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?:  Yes

    Licenses and Certifications
    HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP, etc.)
    May require North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License
