Disaster Recovery Analyst implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Analyst identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Analyst confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Position Summary:

    • Job Title: Shelter Support Staff Case Managers and Case Workers
    • Full Time or Part Time: Full Time
    • Temporary/Seasonal/Regular: Temporary
    • Compensation: $30-$50/hour
    • Travel/Location: On-site various FL locations


    Mission of Role/Position Summary:

    The Shelter Support Case Manager/Case Worker provides coordination of resources for individuals and families partnering with state, federal, local and volunteer ortanizations. The Case Workers will demonstrate high empathy and work with appropriate parties and staff to accomplish established objectives. This role will be critical in meeting the needs of the operation and population it serves.

    Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

    • Oversees case workers and coordinates with County, State, Federal, and volunteer agencies to coordinate services for shelter clients
    • Assist shelter clients with community resources, donations, bulk distribution products, and other assistance
    • Lead transition planning and resource coordination
    • Maintain a high standard to protect client information
    • Provide exceptional customer services while assisting the client in coordinating necessary services and resources to address sheltering needs
    • Provide resources and referrals to clients to meet their disaster-related unmet needs
    • Maintain client-related data systems, including case notes and a complete system of record entries
    • Follow up and track progress with cases in a timely manner.
    • Attend meetings and training internal and external.
    • Work collaboratively with Program Management to meet program goals and performance targets
    • All other duties as assigned


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Able to follow procedures and job tools including reporting requirements
    • Ability to engage, embrace, and celebrate the culture, ethnic diversity, and community values
    • High degree of empathy
    • Comfortability with quick pivots/adjustments in program processes
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, strong Excel skill is preferred
    • Outstanding organization and ability to work independently in fast paced environment.
    • Able to interact with community members in a clear, compassionate manner, respectful of diversity and unique needs
    • Adapt to change, negotiating compromise, and tolerating ambiguity
    • Able to participate and contribute to regular meetings

    Expected Hours of Work:

    Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time


    Physical Demands:

    • Mobility required on-site with clients
    • Sitting or standing for hours at a time
    • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed
    • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed
    • Able to bend or stoop multiple times
    • Able to step up/down 18 inches and climb two or more flights of stairs
    • Able to drive in daytime and at night
    • Able to work outdoors in inclement weather, extreme heat and/or humidity and/or extreme cold
    • Able to function in a dynamic and stressful environment with little or no supervision,


    Working Environment:

    • Emergency management consultants may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions
    • Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings


    Requirements

    Experience/Education Required:

    • Two year's of experience working in human services or healthcare,
    • Two years' case management/housing experience.
    • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
    • Previous experience working in customer service is required.
    • Experience in a dynamic environment in which priorities often shift quickly
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Proven ability to make strong decision and think on your feet.


    Experience/Education Preferred:

    • Experience working or volunteering in a shelter.
    • Bachelor's Degree in emergency management, human service or relevant field
    • Experience in Emergency Management/Operations.
    • Bilingual in Spanish/English (or other language commonly spoken at the shelter) preferred


    Additional Qualifications:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required. We are not able to employ those located outside of the US
    • Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment
