Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary

    Seeking a highly skilled Disaster Recovery Grant Manager to oversee and expedite financial recovery and mitigation efforts for future declared disasters. The successful candidate will manage grants through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) Program and other federal and state programs, ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role is critical to minimizing impacts from future disasters and limiting subsequent audits and reviews.

    Key Responsibilities

    • PA Advisory Services: Provide expert guidance on FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to facilitate efficient financial recovery and mitigation processes.
    • Grant Management: Oversee the application, administration, and reporting of disaster recovery grants to ensure timely and accurate financial management.
    • Procurement and Contract Management/Monitoring Support: Develop and implement procurement strategies and monitor contracts to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CFR 200 compliance language.
    • Information Technology and Data Management: Oversee implementation of IT solutions and manage data to support disaster recovery efforts, ensuring accurate and secure information handling.
    • Hazard Mitigation Support: Develop and support hazard mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of future disasters on the community.
    • Emergency Management Support Services: Collaborate with emergency management teams to coordinate disaster recovery operations and enhance preparedness.
    • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws to limit subsequent audits and reviews, maintaining thorough documentation and reporting.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in disaster recovery, grant management, or emergency management, with a focus on FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.
    • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to disaster recovery and grant management.
    • Proven experience in procurement, contract management, and monitoring, with a solid understanding of CFR 200 compliance.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams.
