Our Role as a Surety Account Manager :

This individual will assist the Bond department in servicing bond accounts. This person will receive bond requests from clients, obtain permission from surety companies to issue, physically prepare the bond, invoice the client, and make the appropriate entries into our Agency Management systems. 

Ideally, we would love to bring someone to the team who has worked in a Surety department previously, either at a carrier or at a brokerage and has a strong background in Surety. Our department is growing in revenue and we are looking for an experienced surety professional to help support our clients. This is a small department with great growth potential. 

This position has flexibility pertaining to office location and could be located in our any of our offices throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Hybrid schedule is also a possibility for this position after training period.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Process client bond requests.
2. Obtain authority from surety company to issue bonds.
3. Invoice clients.
4. Maintain client files in ImageRight.
5. Request underwriting information from clients.
6. Process bond renewals.
7. Respond to daily tasks.
8. Compute bond premiums.
9. Prepare bonds for issuance.
10. Enter bid results.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

1. Fluency in MS Office products.
2. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to multitask and operate in an ever changing environment is critical.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, colleagues, and underwriters.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, to work well with others, and to manage time effectively.

Experience and Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relative field preferred.
2. AAI, AIS designations preferred.
3. 1 years’ experience in Insurance, preferably at an agency.
4. Producer license is Mandatory
