Discount Brokerage Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of a discount brokerage. Ensures that brokerage operations adhere to the organization's financial and business strategies. RESPONSIBILITIES of Operations Manager:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversees the production staff including Foreman, Craftsmen, and Production Workers to ensure that daily production agendas are achieved efficiently.
Assist the Inventory Control Manager and Plant Manager with the daily control and documentation of inventory, work orders and ordering contract materials.
Assist the Plant Manager with the development and implementation of quality control procedures. Provide specific training and assist in the training of new employees. Performs double checks on work in process.
Oversees the programming and operation of the CNC and Engraving machines. Duties include cross training employees in the processes of start/stop and loading and unloading this equipment.
Assist in overseeing the maintenance on all machinery ensuring that maintenance reports are completed and all repairs are reviewed prior to ordering parts. Ensures dust collection system is maintained and monthly reports kept.
Acts in the capacity of designated substitute in the absences of the Plant Manager. Oversees and keeps R&D room organized.
Oversees monthly safety meetings and assists in overseeing the development & maintenance of jigs & fixtures to ensure safety. Assists in the development of new contracts and set-up procedures.
Participates in interviews and hiring. Participates in development of annual budget and capital improvements. Involved in financial decisions impacting the business and bid packages.
Performs other related duties and activities requested by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS of Operations Manager:
1. Education: Must have a high school diploma.
2. Experience: At least 7 years experience in a production setting and 5 years supervisory experience.
This is a Full Time, 40-hour per week position, M-F 7:30am-4:00pm
