Discount Brokerage Sales Representative is responsible for the timely buying and selling of securities for clients at discounted commissions. Ensures accuracy of transactions and keeps abreast of market conditions. Being a Discount Brokerage Sales Representative typically does not make investment recommendations unless client holds advised account or other fee-based product. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area and may require state licensure. Additionally, Discount Brokerage Sales Representative requires NASD series 7 license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Discount Brokerage Sales Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. - Manage and respond to all customer inquiries
- Responsible for all market planning and logistics in the discount sector; including appointment scheduling, showroom set up/break down, note taking, preparing account line sheets
- Sample management; including inbound and outbound from Factory and Customers in the discount division
- Prepare and maintain showroom for season markets, unpacking samples
