Job Summary Oversees field duties and schedules chemical deliveries and flowline operations according to needs specified by manager and customers for assigned region(s). Provides leadership and guidance to chemical delivery specialists and flowline operators in assigned region(s).
Expectations Expected to contribute to and implement project plans as requested by the Operations leadership team. Self-motivated, organized, and effective communicator. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Requires no supervision once trained. Delegates work assignments. Ensures proper use of DOT labeling and placarding and safety equipment (work boots, hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, hardhat, 4-gas monitor, and fire-retardant apparel).
Essential Duties – 60% in office, 40% in field
- Field customer phone calls and dispatch team members
- Schedule chemical deliveries and flowline operators for daily job callouts
- Assist drivers in loading/unloading chemicals in the yard
- Approve timesheets of direct reports
- Manage and enter monthly bonus sheets for direct reports
- Conduct year-end reviews for direct reports in collaboration with local Operations Coordinator
- Manage the chemical deliveries and flowline fleet maintenance programs
- Conduct monthly truck audits
- Assist with leading weekly operations meetings
- Coordinate with operations and facilities for fleet, shop, and parts inventories
- Support team members requests for parts, equipment, maintenance, and training
- Ensure job tickets are generated, accurate, and received in a timely manner
- Resolve issues on assigned job sites and with customers
- Travel to field locations to monitor jobs
- Ensure SDSs are up to date and current in binders
- Coordinate with HSE/DOT team to ensure fleet and crew are in compliance with safety and DOT regulations
- Provide strong leadership by providing excellent customer service to accounts
- Maintain regular communication with applicable team members (facilities, operations, production chemicals, etc.) regarding upcoming jobs and chemical inventory
- Assist technical team with RFPs
- Attend Tech Academy and other learning opportunities
- Able to perform all duties of a Lead Driver and serves as back up for all operations drivers’ duties
- Work well both independently and as a team
- Provide excellent customer service

Supervisory Duties* – Oversee the chemical deliveries and flowline operators for the assigned region(s). Delegate work assignments of direct reports. Contribute to the development of the company culture and retention of high performers. Develops team through coaching, mentoring, goal setting, providing effective feedback, appraising performance, holding individuals accountable, and issuing corrective action when appropriate.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school graduate or GED and knowledge of chemicals, chemical pump trouble shooting and maintenance, and FMCSA/DOT driving regulations required. Operations management experience preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: Forklift certification preferred. CDL required.
Driving Requirements: Follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations, where applicable.
Physical Requirements – Lift, push, pull and carry up to 55 pounds chest high. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds with the use of equipment and/or vehicles. Must be able to reach, push, pull, and grasp with arms and hands. Will require daily standing, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, climbing, driving, and transitioning in/out of vehicles. Must be able to talk, hear and feel attributes of objects or temperatures by touching with the skin. Required to have the visual acuity to operate motor vehicles safely and legally, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment – Indoors and outdoors, with exposure to environmental conditions such as extreme winter weather, precipitation, and wind. Includes potential exposure to harmful chemicals, dust, odors, fumes, oil, and gases. Noise level is typically moderate, occasionally loud.
Financial Skills – Understands the financial implications of business decisions.
Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manual. English language fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Communication Skills – Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as providing excellent customer service, both internally and externally. Ability to effectively train new hires and lead and mentor team members.
Computer Skills – Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, OneNote, etc.), and electronic timesheets.
Work Ethic – Be trustworthy, dependable, respectful, and truthful with a commitment to safety and excellent customer service. Follow company policies and procedures and take responsibility for your own actions.
