Dispatcher, Sr. jobs in Lexington, KY

We are an independent dispatch company & we are hiring dispatchers for our communications center located in Lexington, KY. Dispatch experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking to hire approximately 5 dispatchers at this time. At Federated Communications we dispatch for law enforcement, security agencies, bail enforcement companies, private investigators, independent EMS agencies, etc. across the country. We use RoIP PTT technology to offer service from coast to coast, in all 50 states of the United States & parts of Canada. Applicants should have a working knowledge of computers, multi-line telephones, & be able to type at least 40 WPM.

Dispatchers will answer emergency & non-emergency calls for clients through our dispatch center & dispatch out the appropriate units via our radio communications. Dispatchers will open & maintain a CAD for each call, adding information to each CAD as it becomes available from the reporting party or from the responding units. Dispatchers will also run license plates, social security numbers, operator license numbers, VIN's, etc. for units. Applicates should be able to multitask under potentially high stress conditions.

Applicants must be able to pass a state & federal background check and a pre-employment drug screening. Those with felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude will not be accepted.
