Distribution Center Supervisor supervises daily planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversees one or more of the distribution center functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Supervisor monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Supervisor utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Candidate Source is working with a growing distributor in Chester, VA who is looking to add a Warehouse Supervisor to their growing team. This position offers 40 hours per week and the opportunity for growth
Shift:
Monday-Friday - 6:00AM-3:00PM Overtime
Job Duties:
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure inbound and outbound shipments are processed in a timely fashion
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion
Operate a sit-down forklift and stand-up reach forklifts
Use RF scanner to identify items when picking orders
Utilize WMS system for managing orders and tickets
Use computer to look-up pallet locations
Job Requirements:
5 years of lead and/or supervisor experience
5 years of forklift experience (Reach & Sit-Down Preferred)
Must be comfortable operating forklifts in a distribution setting
Comfortable using computers and WMS systems
Proficient with an RF Scanner
Must be a morning person - the shift starts at 6AM and supervisors are asked to arrive at 5:45am each day
Valid driver's license & reliable transportation to and from the Chester area
