Distribution Clerk performs a variety of clerical, customer service, and administrative duties to support operations of a distribution center. Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels are available to fulfill all orders. Being a Distribution Clerk ensures that all required paperwork, including labels, packing lists, and transport instructions, is prepared. Utilizes tracking systems to input or look up information. Additionally, Distribution Clerk complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Distribution Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. PRIMARY PURPOSE
As an Inventory Support Associate, you will perform a wide variety of duties to maintain and control accurate levels of inventory in grocery and perishable warehouses. This includes the evaluation and research of simple and routine discrepancies, entering data information into warehouse systems, auditing outbound cases to retail stores, providing technical support to receiving and shipping departments, and exchanging information as needed with customers in retail, merchandising, trucking, and distribution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Maintain accurate inventory of all departments within distribution center
•Perform quality control and auditing responsibilities
•Perform perpetual cycle counts and all supplemental count requirements within established time frames
•Monitor warehouse damage and initiate resolution
•Notify appropriate department leads for product discrepancies
•Utilize reports to assist Distribution in investigating and expediting issues related to inventory discrepancies and audit results
•Maintain accurate, organized files for all department responsibilities for efficient access to necessary information
•Perform daily warehouse responsibilities in areas related to shipping, receiving and/or inventory management within established time frames.
•Recommend modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
•Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
•Able to stand for long periods of time
•Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
•High School Education or equivalent
•Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
•Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
