Distribution Director manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Director utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Director ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Distribution Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.   • What You'll Do

    You'll grow key Strategic Partnerships including TPA relationships by partnering/consulting with them on Principal Financial Group retirement business building solutions. Develop and maintain effective networks and relationships internally, including the sales force and within the TPA & MEA channels to achieve vital sales and pipeline activity objectives.

    Here are some of the examples of the things you'll do:

    • Act as the main contact for TPA channel partners to effectively market and educate these intermediaries
    • Assist in the creation and execution of product, marketing, communication, and service model to enhance our solution in the market.
    • Actively engage with retirement distribution wholesalers in the development of channel and MEP/PEP relationships.
    • Create business plans and sales opportunities with TPA’s and retirement distribution wholesalers in order to grow their business and provide guidance for follow through to implement plans.
    • Participate in workshops/seminars with TPA’s and other partners to create interest in working with Principal Financial Group.

    Who You Are

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years work related experience required in the area of financial services and/or marketing/sales with knowledge of the TPA marketplace.
    • Strong knowledge of TPA (Third Party Administrator) service model required.
    • Basic knowledge of company and industry products preferred.
    • Advanced problem solving, presentation, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent time management skills
    • 50% overnight travel is required.

    Licenses Required within 5 months of employment:

    • Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent).

    Salary Range Information

    Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
    Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

    $77350 - $147600 / year
    Time Off Program

    Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
