Distribution Director manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Director utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Director ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Distribution Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Distribution Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Mission/Job Scope:

    The Senior Director, Omni Distribution is responsible for coordinating all degrees of the customer center strategic direction, operational support, and technology enablement to deliver a compliant and the highest quality of customer experience across all Omni-channels. This person will work with the business through Omni-Channel development and delivery teams representing e-commerce, supply chain and retail operations.

    Outcomes:

    • Experience working cross-functionally with retail stores, fulfillment, information technology, and inventory operations.
    • Own customer experience and product roadmap across Omni-channel touchpoints focusing on customer centricity.  Participate in customer experience feedback sessions and action planning / initiatives as a result of fulfillment related data.
    •  Extensive experience developing and delivering omni-channel projects and initiatives.
    •  Experience overseeing and managing omni-fulfillment channels such as management of 3 party facilities, vendor drop ship programs, and vendor compliance programs.
    •  Analyze the omni-channel networks and optimize the brokering / algorithms to make the most cost effective and efficient decisions in and out of season to support the DTC customer experience and speed to customer.
    • Leverage the omni-channel tools / analytics to improve the customer experience, reduce cancelation rates and recommend solutions to reduce fulfillment exceptions.
    • Oversee the parcel relationships and parcel performance for the enterprise, from a supply chain operational perspective (season readiness, ecom support planning and execution of the direct-to-consumer business).
    • Manage the reverse logistics policies and procedures, providing visibility to top returned ecommerce items, as well as the ongoing improvements to putting items back to stock or RTV.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in specialty retail environment with a focus on Omni channel capabilities, retail operations, ecommerce, and customer experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
    • Manhattan Active Omni or order management system experience is strongly preferred.
    • Change management and project management experience.
    • 5 years managing a team, experience managing direct reports.
    • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skill
    • Have a track record of defining, monitoring, and optimize consumer experience and business KPIs
