    Responsible to plan, coordinate and direct the activities of several stores within an assigned district to achieve the efficient and profitable operation of each location. Review store performance to maintain compliance with company policies, goals, and objectives. Establish and direct programs and activities in the district to develop our business potential and promote the reputation of the W.S. Badcock Corporation.


    Responsibilities

    • Directs and supervises store managers and other staff to achieve high levels of performance to maintain company standards and comply with company policies.
    • Obtains sales goals and other sales KPIs as defined in the store scorecard and performance programs.
    • Trains store managers and employees on new programs and processes. 
    • Leads by example by demonstrating how to perform all sales techniques and obligations. Holds store managers and sales associates accountable to follow techniques and training.
    • Initiates personnel and staffing functions including recruitment, selection, evaluation, promotion, transfer, discipline and dismissal measures, and completes related documentation consistent with company policies and procedures.
    • Identifies, plans, and budgets for short- and long-term staffing needs to meet store goals and market objectives.
    • Implements, coordinates and monitors staff training programs, to develop personnel for future store and company growth.
    • Resolves employee grievances, interprets and administers policies and procedures related to personnel matters. 
    • Prepares and reviews store budgets and analyzes performance data and financial statements to evaluate progress toward meeting store, district and company goals and expectations. Plans and initiates appropriate activities to meet performance objectives.
    • Maintains consistency and compliance with operating policies and procedures through staff training and communication.
    • Routinely inspects store facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure a safe, healthy work environment. Investigates and reports on all accidents and takes remedial action as necessary.
    • Reviews discounts and markdowns conducted by the store to ensure they fall within company guidelines.
    • Conducts routine audits of store records and merchandise. Reviews, resolves, and responds to deficiencies identified by company auditors.
    • Resolves customer complaints and problems. Represents the company in matters related to customer disputes.
    • Implements the company’s marketing, merchandising, and advertising programs while motioning and reporting on the marketing activities of all competitors with the market.

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree preferred.
    • Two years of retail store experience.
    • Valid, clean driver’s license and the ability to travel and stay overnight when necessary.
    • Two years management experience (in a multi-unit retail environment preferred).
    • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel by telephone, or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions; work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.
    • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
    • Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ability to master company-specific technology platforms.
    • Effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
    • Must be able to provide personal cell phone access, high-speed internet connection 24/7, and have home office space accommodations.
    • Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs., twist and reach with hands and arms.
