    We provide NDT, new construction, maintenance, and inspection services in all aspects of the oil and gas industries, including exploration, transmission, refining, storage facilities, and all oil related support industries.

    Position Purpose

    • The purpose of the Division Manager is to be both billable by providing NDT inspections as clients require as well as overseeing all operations within the Division ensuring operational excellence through quality, safety, customer service expectation delivery, and JANX expectations.   

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for providing the necessary leadership to plan, organize, assign, direct, coordinate, and control the field operations to meet all client requests within the Division.
    • Coordinate with Operations Supervisor for personnel requests; ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement at all times.
    • Perform NDT inspections in the field using proper inspection criteria and protocol based on industry standards, JANX requirements and client specific requests.
    • Ensure quality assurance operational objectives, expectations and policies are being met and adhered to in compliance with JANX and client policies and procedures.
    • Ensure operational safety performance, objectives, and policies are being met and adhered to in compliance with JANX and client policies and procedures; this includes both general safety and radiation safety recording keeping requirements and processes.
    • Assure that all required maintenance, repairs, and leak testing of licensed radioactive material is conducted in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, regulatory requirements and company procedures.
    • Assure that industrial radiographic equipment is secured against theft or unauthorized removal at all times while in storage, during transportation and while in use.
    • Assure that all industrial radiographic equipment is transported in accordance with all applicable federal/state transportation regulations, local requirements, and company procedures.
    • Provide technical support and knowledge to field technicians and JANX clients as required.
    • Ensure client specific reporting requirements and timelines are met to client and JANX expectations.
    • Report any deficiencies in operational and service level non-conformances to the Regional Director as applicable
    • Complete all required training, including tests, within company guidelines.
    • Maintain a strong client service focus
    • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
    • Follow and enforce Company policies at all times.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally
    • Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment for all staff ensuring all company policies are being followed
    • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
    • Maintain staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results in partnership with human resources
    • Review, validate, and approve reporting employees’ timesheet and reports.
    • Train, mentor and guide technicians in correct operational activities including NDT techniques, safety, radiation safety, and quality requirements and processes.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Understanding of NDT codes including but not limited to UTT, MT, PT, RT, and VT
    • Must fully understand the requirements of Radiation Safety as per the NRC, federal, state, JANX and other required regulations and policies.
    • Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
    • The ability to understand the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
    • Demonstrates a systematic approach in carrying out assignments. Is very orderly and excels at cutting through confusion and turning chaos into order.
    • Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Unusually decisive in handling difficult problems. Translates problems into practical solutions.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum 3 years in a field supervision role
    • Minimum 10 years of applicable experience working in the NDT field / oil and gas service industry
    • Must have the ability to maintain company and industry certification standards.
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

    Certificates and Licenses Required

    • Must be certified in accordance with JANX SNT-TC-1A as a Level II in Radiography and other methods as required.
    • Ability to be certified as a JANX Corporate Level III.
    • CWI preferrred.
    • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.

    Working Conditions

    • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in temperature extremes and inclement weather. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and working environment
    • May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces
    • The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud when working on project site.
    • Overtime may be required during the week and weekend with work volume.
    • Ability to travel when required, nationally, up to 50% of the time.
    • Ability to be flexible with work schedules and respond to requests without advance warning or notification.
