DME Technician is responsible for a facility's durable medical equipment. Duties include selecting and ordering equipment and ensuring equipment delivery to facility and appropriate users. Being a DME Technician tests and maintains equipment to ensure proper functionality. Provides training on use of equipment. Additionally, DME Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The DME Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Job Requirements High School Degree or G.E.D. 1 years of Delivery and/or Healthcare experience preferred. Ability to lift an average of 50 pounds and perform strenuous work. Basic phone/computer skills. Ability to receive and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Card. All candidates must possess a clean driving record and criminal background. Candidates will also be subject to a drug screen to be considered for the position. Shift Information New Service Technicians are initially assigned to a late afternoon/early evening shift and participate in the company’s on-call rotation. Work Location The Nashville Warehouse is located at 431 Haynie Avenue, Nashville, TN 37207.
