Corporate Controller
We are looking to hire a Corporate Controller to join our team and support our continuing growth.
Based in Nashua, NH, and managing a team, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company including general ledger, A/P, A/R, inventory, treasury, tax, the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of the system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and processes to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that the financial statements comply with GAAP.
Responsibilities:
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure timely reporting of the financial results.
Prepare and review the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
Oversee and monitor accounts receivable including collections and monitoring and assessing risk with past due accounts.
Manage and monitor cash availability and liquidity.
Oversee all aspects of inventory and cost accounting.
Lead the continuous enhancement of internal financial reporting to provide meaningful insights to the leadership team.
Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes and tools, and related business processes ensuring that practices are both in line with the overall goals of the organization and are efficient and effective.
Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation.
Lead year-end review and be liaison with the external auditors and tax accountants.
Assist and supply information to the external CPA firm for the preparation of Federal and State tax returns, estimated tax payments and sales tax compliance.
Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and new accounting standards.
Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through effective selection, training, and development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Partner collaboratively with the other business leaders, drive performance, accountability, and higher standards of excellence across the business.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Required
CPA
BS degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
10 years of experience within a commercial customer-focused environment.
Proven ability to effectively manage a large team and mentor junior staff.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
Preferred
MS Dynamics experience.
Working in a private equity owned company.
