Drafter/Estimator

An excellent opportunity in the Portage area for Drafter/Estimator

As a Drafter/Estimator with Allen Edwin you will support our field operations. Produce accurate purchase orders to meet daily start pace and support field operations. Cross functional collaboration to meet new product initiatives. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Produce accurate purchase orders and CAD drawings to meet daily start pace and support field operations.
• Cross functional collaboration to meet new product initiatives in both CAD and Estimating as needed.
• The Drafter/Estimator is expected to demonstrate the qualities, competencies and team characteristics identified within Allen Edwin Homes’ Sustainable Competitive Advantage.
• Assist Senior Estimator and Product Manager with maintenance of master models and assemblies in Pipeline and Vertex
• Assist Senior Estimator with maintenance of standard options assemblies in Pipeline
• Assist Product Manager in maintaining accurate CAD detail catalogs for all current construction details in accordance with CAD 101 and Estimating 101 standards LOT SPECIFIC DOCUMENTS
• Create accurate floor plans per customer specifications in accordance with CAD 101 Drafting Standards and X/day start pace.
• Complete full engineering review of plans before releasing plan for production
• Execute complete and accurate plan updates as required
• Create and issue accurate Purchase Orders as needed in accordance with the Neighborhood Options, estimating 101 Standards, and X/day start pace
• Validate variance and implement corrections as needed SOFTWARE
• Master all functions of Vertex
• Proficient in Pipeline Estimating Software
• Master Estimating 101 and CAD 101 Standards
• Proficient in Homefront Software systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or relevant work experience
• 1-5 years as a Drafter and or Estimator
• Competency using drafting and or estimating software
