We are looking for Mechanical Drafters to join our Engineering team at our Springfield, MO office. Headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, Nothum Food Processing Systems is a leading company in the design and manufacturing of cutting edge industrial food processing equipment. What are we looking for?

• • Technical degree with a mechanical design focus or equivalent mechanical design experience.
  • 0-3 years experience as a Mechanical Designer/Drafter
  • Strong 3D modeling and drawing abilities
  • Required to be a Certified SolidWorks Associate or obtain SolidWorks Associate certification with 60 days of hire.
  • AutoCad abilities are a plus
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office and similar products
  • Experience with stainless steel, sheet metal, or food processing equipment is a plus.
  • Good mechanical background is a plus.
  • Strong English written and oral communication abilities are a must.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and handle solo responsibilities.
  • Initiative to perform duties beyond assignment specific responsibilities
  • Ability to work Sunday-Saturday as needed for production and/or customer needs.

What will you be doing here?

• Working with other engineering team members to maintain, update, and improve existing business products.
• Create 2d & 3d models, drawings, and BOMs of existing & future business products using SolidWorks with some AutoCad work.
• Create and maintain user manuals, installation instructions and other sales/customer related documentation.
• Work with associates in the shop area, engineering team members, associates in other departments, as well as customers, to solve issues, answer questions and provide information.
