MWT Core Drilling Operator/Driller
Job Duties/Description
MWT operates four Core Drilling Rigs for the Warrior MetCoal Mines in West/Central Alabama. These rigs drill down in excess of 1000’ in order to obtain coal core samples for the Mine. These samples give Warrior MetCoal an indication of the direction and depths at which they will need to mine in the future. Each of these Core Drilling Rigs are comprised of a Core Drilling Operator (Driller) and at least one Core Drilling Assistant.
Below is a list of the job duties for the Core Drilling Operator/Driller. This list is not an all-inclusive list. The Core Drilling Operator/Driller is directed daily by the Core Drilling Superintendent. At this time, Robert “Bob” Roach is the Core Drilling Superintendent. This Superintendent has the responsibility of directing all four of the Core Drilling Teams.
