Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide counseling services utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and behavioral therapy.
• Offer specialized support for clients dealing with addiction, PTSD, and gender issues.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Advocate for clients with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and support.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions as needed to promote community healing and support.

Requirements

• Proven experience in counseling or related fields, with a strong understanding of patient care principles.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and motivational interviewing practices.
• Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems is preferred.
• Experience working with patients facing disabilities is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; relevant certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $130.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
