EAP Counselor coordinates and implements an organization's Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Serves as a knowledgeable resource for employees seeking information and guidance on mental health and wellness topics. Being an EAP Counselor conducts confidential assessments to determine the needs of employees seeking assistance. Provides short-term counseling and support services to employees and provides referrals to external resources when necessary. Additionally, EAP Counselor maintains accurate and confidential records of EAP services provided, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The EAP Counselor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. DEFINITION: This role provides individual and group therapy, crisis management and assessment, and the development of programs aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of undergraduate students. The counselor will develop their own caseload of 10 students per week.

EQUIPMENT/JOB LOCATION: Works from an office at Crown College. Equipment used includes but is not limited to, personal computer and required programs, printer, fax machine, calculator, copy machines, and other equipment as the position requires.
