EAP Manager manages, designs, and implements policies and procedures relating to a company's Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Ensures that inpatient and outpatient counseling and care facilities meet company standards. Being an EAP Manager provides training to management for dealing with medical and behavioral problems. Provides counseling to employees in the program. Additionally, EAP Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The EAP Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an EAP Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Employee Assistance Consultants provide clinical services to the employees and family members of client organizations using best practices to enhance acceptance of EAP/SAP services. Clinicians provide consultation to workplace/college or university representatives, assist with the referral process, and identify treatment and other social services needed for clients/students. Candidates must possess applicable and current state licensure/certification, such as: CEAP, LICSW, LISW, LCDP, LMHC.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

    · Provide telephonic, face-to-face, or virtual clinical assessment, crisis support, resource research, and referral plan for EA/SA clients/students. Clinical assessment includes thorough psychosocial assessment, including mental status and chemical dependence assessment.

    · Using motivational interviewing techniques provides and promotes employee self-care and use of resources; provides information on a wide range of behavioral health topics; and researches specialty treatment providers to meet client needs.

    · Assists client with access to services and provides case management support based on client needs.

    · Consult with employer representatives, both labor and management, about individual and workgroup job performance and strategies for addressing problem areas.

    · Consult with college/university personnel regarding student concerns and behaviors.

    · Respond to workplace crisis with critical incident stress management resources and support; may be done either in-person or virtually.

    · Implement IMPACTS: Individualized Modules for Personal Assessment, Consultation and Training Solutions to support compliance with employer policies around workplace behavior and EEOC requirements such as sexual/other harassment prevention and respectful communication.

    · Conduct surveys of clients/students regarding satisfaction with our services.

    · Provide training to employer representative regarding EAP services; partner with Training Coordinator to provide training for a variety of topics as requested.

    Requirements

     

    Qualifications:

    · MS or MA in behavioral health specialty: Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Nurse specialist.

    · Possess applicable and current state licensure/certification, such as: CEAP, LICSW, LISW, LCDP, LMHC.

    · Experience or knowledge of the psychological and/or personal adjustment difficulties of college students that impact the emotional development and/or academic functioning.

    · Knowledge of human resources best practices related to the legal and regulatory issues surrounding employment laws, health care law, and workplace safety preferred.
