    Job Summary

    • The EDI Specialist  is responsible for various functions and support related to electronic data interchange (EDI) processes for both hospital and physician reporting and analysis. He/she must possess strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to ensure large daily electronic files are submitted and verified, identify and trouble-shoot inefficiencies and issues, research and make recommendations for improvement, assist implementation of changes, and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

    Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Experience
      • Required: 1-2 years Revenue Cycle experience in a healthcare setting
    • Skills
      • Highly proficient in all aspects of the PC and standard applications.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
      • Strong analytical skills to analyze processes and technology to determine how to maximize efficiency; must also be able to assist with financial data analysis.
      • Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with others.
      • Highly proficient in Excel with ability to create, modify and trouble-shoot spreadsheets for data analytics.
      • Highly productive in a self-directed manner with ability to coordinate projects, prioritize tasks, track status efficiently, and communicate proactively to management team and staff.
      • Ability to educate others on new procedures and concepts.
      • Ability to learn and become proficient in electronic file transfers.
