About the role:
The Healthy by Reader’s Digest (print and digital) is seeking an editor who can help us develop and optimize health, wellness, and lifestyle content for TheHealthy.com and its section within Reader’s Digest print magazine. Reporting to the Senior Editor, this key role on our enthusiastic, hard-working team seeks a skillful blend of writing and editing talent, SEO research, and organized project management to guide stories and projects from conception through publication and performance reporting.
You’ll be responsible for using data insights to develop topics and clearly assign stories to our writers, scheduling stories under the direction of the Senior Editor, and regularly communicating with writers to ensure stories meet their scheduled go-live dates. You will also write and edit digital content with SEO best practices and brand initiatives in mind, manage CMS production and daily newsletter production, support the development of high-visibility tentpole projects and advertising campaigns, and work in collaboration with a multitude of cross-functional departments to lead the development of messaging and creative to drive traffic and engagement.
In addition to working within the digital team, you’ll collaborate with writers and print editors for Reader’s Digest. This is an exciting opportunity to have an instrumental hand in editorial strategy and development for an individual who is passionate about of-the-moment health & wellness topics, general lifestyle content, and working in mainstream media for a long-trusted brand.
