Education Director provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Education Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Education Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Education Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of educational programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Manage projects related to curriculum development, student recruitment, and academic advising.
- Develop and manage budgets for educational initiatives and projects.
- Lead and supervise a team of educators and support staff to ensure effective delivery of educational services.
- Utilize strong writing skills, curriculum development, and communication with stakeholders and management.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Conduct research to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
- Provide leadership in implementing strategies to improve student outcomes and retention rates.
- Utilize bilingual skills (English and Spanish) to support a diverse student population.
- Utilize computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, for data analysis, reporting, and communication purposes. CIMA Milady's, and D3 software's preferred.
Must be organized, multi tasker, and be able to handle a high pace environment.
Must be knowledgeable to work with traditional, and Hybrid programs online.
This is an onsite position ONLY! Requires supervision of day and evening shifts.
