EEG Technician performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Attaches electrodes to the patient. Being an EEG Technician records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Additionally, EEG Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEG Technician works under moderate supervision. - Welding: Experience in welding and fabrication tasks
- Supervising: Ability to supervise contractors or junior technicians when necessary
- Facilities maintenance: Knowledge of general facilities maintenance practices and procedures
- Electrical: Basic understanding of electrical systems and ability to perform minor electrical repairs
- English: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System): Familiarity with using CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities
- Schematics: Ability to read and interpret technical schematics
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
