At Gulf Coast Health Center, Inc., we rely on our IT systems for our business to provide patient care. We are seeking a Software Trainer who is ready to leverage their learned medical/clinical experience and transition in a more technical and coaching direction in a healthcare environment. In this role, the successful individual will develop and execute training plans, training materials, and classes to provide software instruction to the organization’s employees. From early on, the Software Trainer responsibilities will range from developing training materials and to project work. Our ideal hire will be capable of developing high‐level knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications and possess excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess individual and group training needs and maintain individual and group training records.
• Help develop and cultivate a data driven culture by emphasizing data accuracy and standardization.
• Monitor and reinforce staff adherence to correct coding, documentation, and data entry.
• Plan and prepare structured trainings for clinical teams to train users on an individual or group basis.
• Interact with technical support to assist in troubleshooting, identifying root cause, and providing software support when needed.
• Administrate and standardized encounter templates, clinical guides, and forms to enforce data accuracy.
• Organize with software vendors to facilitate training and troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain duties as Medical Assistant or Nurse as needed.

• Ability to manage conflict, stress and multiple simultaneous work demands in an effective, professional manner.
• Ability to make independent decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Decisions and problem solving require a combination of analysis, evaluation, and interpretive thinking.
• Computer literacy, including but not limited to, data entry, retrieval, and report generation
